FOREVER: A LEGAL SCI-FI STORY
BOOK COVER DESIGN + ILLUSTRATION

The idea of transferring humans into humanoid bodies has been the theme for many eminent titles. This book’s unique contribution is its exploration of the legal questions and embedded philosophical issues that flow from being able to transfer a copy of a person’s mind into a synthetic body that lives forever.”

ABOUT THE DESIGN
This cover aims to integrate the cold, geometric feel of computer chips and barcodes with the organic lines and shapes of humanity. Stylistically, the illustration pulls inspiration from court room sketches and Gervais’ character descriptions. I chose to pivot a bit from traditional sci-fi designs, as this story offers a more academic, law-focused account of what a future with clones and AI could mean for the world.
